Musicians

The Human Revolution Orchestra is an ensemble featuring some of the UK’s finest Jazz musicians drawn from across the vibrant UK and International music community.

Diverse and visionary, the ensemble was originally formed to perform for events produced by SGI UK, the worldwide Buddhist lay network to celebrate UNESCO International Jazz Day, a global initiative founded by Herbie Hancock.

Modern and deeply rooted in the Jazz tradition, the band has performed music written by Nadim Teimoori, Simon Purcell, Bennie Maupin, Marc Cary, Thelonious Monk, Bob Marley, Donald Fagen, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, Mongo Santamaria and Yazz Ahmed and arrangements by Paul Hart, Guy Barker, Malcolm Eddlestone and Jonny Enright amongst others.
